DARBAR by Parishae Adnan
Summer 2026 Collection | Amir Adnan
In an era where fashion is increasingly driven by purpose, DARBAR by Parishae Adnan emerges as a powerful narrative of sustainability, heritage, and modern couture. More than just a collection, DARBAR is a statement that bridges the past and present while redefining the future of conscious fashion
A Historic Setting with a Powerful Legacy
Set within the iconic Khaliqdina Hall, the DARBAR showcase unfolded in a space deeply rooted in history, resilience, and intellectual discourse. Built in 1906, this architectural landmark stands as one of Karachi’s most treasured cultural institutions, now serving as a historic library and community hub.
Designed by the renowned Moses Somake, Khaliqdina Hall is a masterwork of Palladian architecture, its timeless design echoing balance, symmetry, and enduring beauty. The venue’s legacy adds depth and meaning to the collection, transforming the fashion presentation into an immersive cultural experience

Echoes of Resistance and Cultural Continuity
Khaliqdina Hall is not just an architectural marvel, it is a witness to history. The hall famously hosted the 1921 Trial of Sedition, a defining moment during the Khilafat Movement. Among those tried were prominent freedom fighters Muhammad Ali Jauhar and Shaukat Ali, whose defiance against colonial rule turned the trial into a symbol of resistance and unity.
By choosing this venue, Parishae Adnan does more than present a collection; she reclaims a space layered with stories of courage, dialogue, and transformation.

DARBAR: A New Language of Sustainable Couture
With DARBAR, Parishae Adnan introduces a forward-thinking approach to fashion, one that places sustainability at its core without compromising on craftsmanship or luxury. The collection reflects a deep respect for heritage techniques while embracing modern silhouettes and conscious production practices.
Every piece speaks to a philosophy where fashion is not fleeting but enduring, crafted with intention, designed for longevity, and rooted in cultural continuity.

Collaborations & Creative Direction
The successful realization of DARBAR was made possible through thoughtful collaborations and seamless execution. Venue partnership and on-ground coordination were supported by Numaish-Karachi, ensuring that the historic setting was transformed into an immersive fashion experience while preserving its cultural integrity.
The show’s creative direction was led by Almitra Mavalvala, with cinematography by Ayesha Noor Kurd, bringing the narrative of DARBAR to life with depth and visual storytelling. Grooming was handled by Ngents, while hair and make-up were expertly crafted by Nabila’s. Together, the collective efforts of the creative teams and the dedicated workforce behind House of Amir Adnan played a pivotal role in shaping a show that was both refined and impactful.

Fashion as an Act of Reverence
DARBAR is not merely about garments; it is about storytelling. It is about honoring spaces, preserving traditions, and reimagining how fashion interacts with history and environment. Inbringing her Summer 2026 collection to Khaliqdina Hall, Parishae Adnan creates a dialogue between architecture and couture, between past struggles and present expression.
The result is a collection that feels both intimate and monumental where sustainability becomes an act of reverence, and fashion transforms into a medium of cultural preservation.
